I’m Moving Into A Cave

I came across a class-action lawsuit involving Coursera so I wanted to see if I qualify given that I use Coursera quite a bit. However, there was one question that stopped me dead in my tracks. Since the case involves a breach of privacy, it asked me if I thought I had privacy while I was using Coursera and of course everyone on the planet can say yes to this question, but unfortunately I can’t.

Sure, I do know that I don’t have privacy while I’m looking at all this content–I guess that makes me liable for copyright infringement no matter what I do. I suppose I just can’t view or listen to any content whether it’s courses on Coursera, Udemy, or music on Spotify, or ebooks on Everand. It’s really unfair and if I can’t view courses or read anything, than I have absolutely no chance of getting a job in tech which is all I really know. I’m just screwed in this impossible situation. I’ve lost my 1st Amendment Freedom of Expression and that sucks. In other words, if I want to be safe and not cause damages, I just can’t use the computer.

Maybe you think I could move out of this house to get away from the eavesdropping, but then again in my experience, I don’t have privacy no matter what I do or where I go. Whether it’s a University campus in North Carolina, to an apartment in San Diego, or a condo in Santa Ana or Las Vegas, no matter where I go there is no privacy so please don’t tell me moving out this condo will solve anything. Whether I’m on the east coast, or west coast, no privacy anywhere for 27 years. I really believe that no matter what I do, people will find a way to invade my privacy and my experience tells me that I’m right.
