For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God has given me the gift of discernment. However, if I am not controlled by the Holy Spirit, it can turn into self-righteous judgment. Discernment can be a double-edged sword. I can easily see the flaws in other people, just like I can easily see my own flaws. I can discern other people&#8217;s true motives quite well. The problem is I can turn this on myself. If you are overly critical of other people, you will be overly critical of yourself. So if you want to stop beating yourself up, stop beating up other people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By contrast, if you see the best in other people, you will tend to see the best in yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, there is a place for judgment. Jesus judged, but he judged according to God&#8217;s will, not like us who judge according to our own self-serving standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.&#8221;<\/em> (John 5:30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In judging, Jesus sought the will of the Father, not his own will. Are you judging yourself today? Stop judging others! Speak the truth but do it in love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;\u201cDo not judge, or you too will be judged.
