When you watch a movie, there is a reason why the hero never fights for himself. He almost always fights for someone else. Everyone expects you to fight and defend yourself ; there really isn’t anything noble about that. And if your cause is all about you, you’ll probably have a difficult time recruiting people to join you. Yes, I’m guilty of doing this too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the hero may be motivated over something internal–some hurt, or something in his past, he uses this motivation as a catalyst to fight for other people. I think God really hurt when he saw our predicament, so he took on all the hurt himself, living the hurt that we should’ve all felt ourselves. This is what makes Jesus the ultimate hero. He never fought for Himself. His cause was you and me. In fact, he gave up his life for others, including the people who were personally responsible for torturing and killing him. No one really took Jesus’ life from him, he laid it down willingly. No one can match this heroism that Jesus displays. That’s why we should worship him, he rightfully deserves it. He is God and isn’t obligated to do anything for us. So the amazing part is that he, being God, came down to save people who didn’t deserve to be rescued. Therefore, we should all be grateful and we should exalt our Hero, Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11<\/p>\n\n\n\n
