Whoever said having a victim mentality is a bad thing might want to reconsider\u2014because Donald Trump has mastered the art of victimization, and look where it\u2019s taken him. Today, we are a nation of victims. Victims of \u201cwoke ideology.\u201d Victims of illegal immigration. Victims of the \u201cdeep state.\u201d Victims of trade imbalances. Wherever you turn, someone is claiming injury. Not that these issues aren’t legitimate, but dwelling on them forces us into victimhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s be clear: contrary to what some people believe, being a victim is a real thing\u2014and it\u2019s no joke. You don\u2019t pretend it didn\u2019t happen. Dismissing the very existence of victims is not just ignorant\u2014it\u2019s cruel. Some people have endured real harm, and they deserve justice, not denial. But what we must resist is a victim mindset<\/em>\u2014an attitude of perpetual grievance, where pain becomes identity and helplessness becomes habit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s where the preacher in me wants to shout: Shake off that victim mentality and press forward to claim the victory that\u2019s already yours!<\/em> Yet here\u2019s the twist\u2014victimhood isn\u2019t just a mindset anymore. It\u2019s a strategy. A currency. A tool of power. And when victimization becomes a political brand, there\u2019s incentive to keep nursing the wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A nation of victims demands a Victim-in-Chief. And we got one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trouble with being a victim is that it\u2019s tethered to the past\u2014the pain, the grievance, the injustice. Trump embodies that posture. And maybe, just maybe, we elected him because we were hurting too. But if we want to move forward, we must release the grip of grievance and embrace the mindset of an overcomer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope Trump has enjoyed the spoils of victimhood. But it\u2019s time to let it go\u2014so he, and the nation, can overcome. Because we have real problems. And they won\u2019t be solved by licking old wounds. They\u2019ll be solved by overcoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
